The GPS (Global Positioning System) + 7-Channel Serial I/O Adapters and 8-Channel Serial I/O Adapters provide a GPS receiver and seven channels of simultaneous, bi-directional UART (Universal Asynchronous Transmitter/Receiver) serial communications, or alternatively eight channels of simultaneous, bi-directional UART serial communications. All channels are configurable as RS-232 or RS-485/422.
